Preparing for the trip...for Dee2


Bought a Jacket...cos mine cannot use in cold weather (below 10 degree), 2 pair of gloves...one for Dee1....2 thermal wear shirt, 2 pair of socks..

DAY 1: SINGAPORE → KUNMING - STONE FOREST

Welcome to a unique experience! Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Kunming, the capital of the Yunnan province is also known as the City of Eternal Spring

Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guideand transferred to The Stone Forest. The Stone Forest, located at south east of Kunming in Lunan County, is one of China’s most remarkable natural phenomenons. With towering peaks of bizarre shaped limestone soaring to the skies, her immense beauty will captivate you.

DAY 2: STONE FOREST - JIUXIANG - KUNMING

After breakfast, proceed to Jiuxiang Karst Caves. Jiuxiang is famous for its magnificent caves, clear waters and beautiful landscape. Explore the caves filled with dazzling variety of stalactites and stalagmites forming a world of sculptural works. Another highlight is a scenic boat ride. Enjoy the natural landscape of the area before returning back to Kunming.

DAY 3: KUNMING → DALI

This morning, depart by flight to Dali, the home of the Bai people. Upon arrival we begin our tour with a visit to Mt. Cangshan, two kilometres west of Dali. Mt.Cangshan comprises of nineteen peaks and the highest being 4,122 meters above sea level is clad with snow all year round. Here we visit The Three Elegant Pagodas, which overlooks the Erhai Lake.

Next we visit Butterfly Spring. In spring, when the trees put forth fragrant flowers, thousands of butterflies' flutter among the branches and over the spring water to form a dazzling "Kingdom of Butterflies". We continue our tour with a visit to the traditional villages of Xizhou and Zhoucheng where one would also have a better insight into the art of cloth dyeing. We end the day by visiting the old town of Dali.

DAY 4: DALI - LIJIANG

Today, visit Lake Erhai. Just as it’s name implies, it’s shape is in the form of an ear. Covering 250 square kilometers, the blue rippling lake and the snow-covered Mt. Cangshan add radiance and beauty to each other. In the afternoon, we travel by coach to Lijiang, home of the Naxi minority. This evening, after dinner enjoy a kind of classical music widely popular with The Naxi minority.

DAY 5: LIJIANG

This morning we head for Jade Dragon (Yulong) Snow Mountain, located 15km north of Lijiang City. With an altitude of 5600 meters above sea level, it is the highest mountain on the southern bank of the Yangtze River. There are a total of 13 snow-covered peaks in this mountain range. You will ascend to the top of the mountain by cable car from the foot of the mountain to Dragon Spruce Meadow. The scenery of Lijiang City with it’s mountain peak thrusting into the clouds appears magnificent and sublime.

Next, visit the Jade Spring Park also known as Black Dragon Pool. In the afternoon, visit Lijiang Old Town, also named Dayan (Big Inkslab) Town, covering an area of 3.8 sq km which has been preserved intact. The old town is a mountain town situated on a plateau, 2400 meters above sea level. The town is famous for it’s unique layout. The town is reputed as the "Oriental Venice" and "Suzhou in Highland". In 1997, the UNESCO puts Lijiang on a list of the world's major cultural heritages

DAY 6: LIJIANG → KUNMING

This morning depart to Kunming by domestic flight. Upon arrival, visit Western Hill. Situated along the shore of Dianchi Lake, it looks like a Sleeping Beauty with long tresses trailing away to the south. With an elevation of 1900-2350 meters, Western Hills contains a scenic view of Lake Dain and the region. At Western Hill we visit the Dragon Gate grottoes, which were carved out of a cliff over 72 years.

Thereafter, proceed to Daguan Park, is known for its longest antithetical couplet in China. First built in 1682 by monks, the park once served as a Guanyin (Avalokistesvara's) Temple. Among the ancient architectures in this park, the three-storey Daguan Pavilion, which is decorated with flying eaves and splendid paintings, is the highlight of Daguan Park. Thereafter, we proceed to Luosiwan Wholesale Market.

DAY 7: KUNMING → SINGAPORE

Today, we visit the Ethnic Group Villages, which covers 26 minority people’s house and various themed gardens. Enjoy the various flowers that are being displayed. In the afternoon, visit Flowers and Birds Market, Green Lake and Jima & Biji Archway. After dinner, prepare for your flight back to Singapore.
